I’ve owned 4Runner models 1992, 1995, 1998, 2003, 2008, 2015, 2017, 2020, & now the 2021 Nightshade. Have loved every one of them & they are trouble-free, solid, & tough as nails. They also hold their value better than anything out there. I wouldn’t own any other vehicle & will keep this Nightshade since Toyota chose to quit making that trim.

The smooth inline mild hybrid 6 cylinder is just enough. Yea I know the hardcore boys who says it must be the full blown V8 is screaming. But as a daily driver and a sporty drive this is enough. Remember Mercedes needs to have something for Audi and BMW intermediate cars. Everything doesn't have to be 63,M, or RS.

That's what I need - simple, comfortable, reliable transportation.

I test drove this car before purchasing because I saw so many people talk about the headroom. I'm 5'11 and no issues with headroom at all. Really tall people may have issues. Trunk isn't as bad as one would think either. Still more room than I need.

That cvt won't last 50k miles

In a world where the Civic, Mazda3, Corolla Hybrid and hell even the Hyundai/Kia option in order of preference exist this is a hard sell. Nissans notorious reputation in reliability and memes is too hard to shake off.

My sister bought one and within 5k miles needed new motor mounts and then it was totalled in an accident. She replaced it and the new one with 3k miles is already in the shop making the same sounds.

Decent for Nissan. But 29k is up market. A fully loaded Civic (now hybrid) is 31k. Has higher hp, slightly bigger, better mpg, at least as good handling. And historical reliability for Honda is a lot better. A entry level Nissan at 30k is a hard sell

Hertz is dumping these for as low as 23K. Premium, you might as well call it Base. Cloth, Manual Seats & Manual Liftgate. Loads of Piano Scratch Plastic. Odd instrument cluster location. Slow charging. Alright used if you don't drive far, wait until you can claim the $4,000 EV credit, and pay in the mid to low 20's (before the EV credit) based on the trim.

This was Toyota's & Subaru's sorry excuse to put out a terrible EV that'll sit on lots for them to turn back around and say "See! No one wants full EVs!" You'd have to be either a die hard Toyota/Subaru fanboy or horribly misinformed to buy one of these over almost any other new EV except maybe the Nissan Leaf.

I think I like this more than the Raptor.

You’d have to be out of your mind to buy this. People are getting great lease deals, but I still don’t think it’s worth it. There are so many other options that are better than this.

Been living with a 2024 300e and gotta say it was well worth the purchase after factoring in a $15k lease-cash deal. Doing without a second motor and the smaller wheels is perfectly fine, but the inclusion of the HUD in the electronics package upgrade was absolutely necessary and I've come to expect a HUD on newer luxury vehicles.

Purchased Kona 24 Sel w/convenience package. Will keep this in mind in 2 yrs 😉
